Due to continued growth and investment, Cambridge Networks has invested in the instalaltion of a 20MB leased line connection to its main office in Broughton. This connection is being provided by Vtesse Networks, who have already installed a fibre optic network into the village of Broughton making it the fastest village in the UK. This new connection will benefit Cambridge Networks and their clients in several ways including:-
- Higher connection speeds will improve remote connections to clients
- Guarenteed connection to the Internet via 100% SLA
- Ability to offer remote server hosting
- Offsite backup facilities for DR and Business Continuity
Cambridge Networks already are using a bonded solution that allows for multiple broadband connections to be linked together and bonded at the IP level rather than at the session level, so have had a faster service for some 2+ years. It is only now when clients require faster and more reliable services from their IT provider that a more robust solution is required.
Our leased line is now live and ready to be used by our clients. Call us to book a demo.

Charities like working with Cambridge Networks
01.02.2009
Cambridge Networks would like to let
all current clients know about our contiunued initiative for 2009. Whilst
reviewing our client base we noted that several clients were either seeking charitable
status or were indeed a charity. With this in mind Cambridge Networks have decided
to create a new area of the business where we will attempt to help where
possible charities in and around the Cambridgeshire area. Our main
commitment will be with our support rates for charities we will offer our
discounted rates direct to them even if they do not take out a support contract
with us. current Charities include Cambridgeshire Mencap, Arthur Rank Hospice and Living Sport.
'If we can help in some way shape or
form, then that must be a good thing' Kirsty Sewell Director at Cambridge
Networks said.
If you are a charity or are seeking
charity status and looking for IT Services, please contact either Kirsty or Cat
in our office to talk further about your requirements.
Cambridge Networks also are asked to
remove machines from client’s sites for disposal, where possible we look to
recycle these machines back into the community. We would however like to
stress to current clients that all machines are recycled without the hard drives.
These are disposed by internal procedures where the disks are stripped and
destroyed. Data security in today’s ever dangerous environment is at the
top of Cambridge Networks agenda.
Thanks for reading
Greg Sewell
