Sophos Anti Virus For Non Windows |
Sophos Anti-Virus for non-Windows platforms provides integrated virus detection on even the most complex multi-platform networks. It protects laptops, desktops and servers by detecting, reporting and disinfecting viruses, Trojans, worms and spyware. Sophos Anti-Virus incorporates powerful and intuitive management tools, such as Enterprise Console, which enables centralised installation, configuration and reporting. The latest anti-virus updates created by experts in SophosLabs™ are downloaded automatically to the entire network hourly via EM Library without affecting network performance. In addition, Sophos's Genotype™ technology recognises families and variants of known viruses, providing proactive protection. Unlimited 24/7 support is included with every licence at no extra cost.
Sophos Anti-Virus software is cost-effective and engineered for corporate networks with 100 users or more, or smaller organisations with more complex networks. It provides integrated cross-platform virus detection on non-Windows servers, desktops and laptops, including most common versions of UNIX and Linux, as well as OpenVMS, NetWare and OS/2. Installation and management are straightforward and Sophos support is available in any time zone 24 hours a day at no extra charge. Product and virus updates can be downloaded automatically to the entire network for a wide range of platforms through the use of centralised management tools. NB: The majority of the following features are available on NetWare, UNIX, Linux, OS/2 and OpenVMS, but there are small variations between platforms. All software products have a limited life-span after which they are "retired" and the manufacturers stop supporting them in favour of new versions. Sophos continues to support Sophos Anti-Virus on platforms that have themselves been retired - in some cases for up to another 12 months.
